Keichousaurus fossils |
|
Middle Triassic age, Guanling Formation, Xingyi, Guizhou, China. The matrix is a compacted mix of fine volcanic ash, silt and is intersected by natural calcite mineral formations. Fossil has NO restoration, highlighting, paint, carving or any kind of enhancement - fossil has been fully tested for paint, highlighting, carving, resin, adhesives and all other known methods of artificially produced elements. Colour variation amongst the bones are the result of fossilization & an artifact of preparation (method of removing matrix to expose bones) - THERE IS NO PAINT OR ENHANCEMENTS. Testing conclusively proves the bones are genuine. Matrix has NO repair - the slate usually fractures on excavation - white lines are natural calcite mineral veining - the matrix has been tested & proves genuine. The lighter areas of matrix are the result of exposing an underlying layer of matrix & is NOT of artificial material.
