Dating to the Cretaceous, the pterosaur was excavated in Tiaojishan Formation,  Liaoning Province, N.E. China.

 

Secondary preparation was perfomred in our studio - we guarantee the pterosaur is 100% genuine, authentic fossilized pterosaur!

We subjected the fossil to rigorous, lengthy examination under stereo microscope, testing to confirm the fossil is 100%  authentic with NO restoration, crack, gap filling whatsoever (only crack filling of matrix).

The wealth of fine detail is astonishing and the skull boasts spectacular dentition.

The skull is preserved with the top of the skull having flipped beneath the lower jaw.

This unspeakably rare pterosaur species was only discovered in 2009.

The original thin matrix within which the pterosaur is embedded is professionally mounted onto a thick resin & board backing - a neccessary procedure to preserve the delicate, hollow, thin walled bones (prolific fragmentation attesting authenticity).
