Dating to the Cretaceous, this stunning, extremely rare Thescelosaurus neglectus femur (upper leg/thigh bone) orginates from Hell Creek, Montana, USA.

Measuring 12" (30.5cm)!

This is an exceptionally rare piece from a dinosaur species which recently was discovered having a fossilized four chambered heart!

This incredible bone is complete, intact, extremely solidly fossilized and weighs a heavy 1.15kg (2lb 8 1/2 oz).

It feels heavier to hold - is immensely strong - highly tactile with a super gloss shine which is not shown in the photos!

A stunningly beautiful fossil with rich mid to dark brown color - wonderful high gloss shine - a natural art masterpiece!

The very pronounced upper trochanter is preserved - strong thigh muscles attached to the trochanter.

The femoral head and distal end of the femur is preserved - only some surface abrasion has affected the bone in these regions with the form being intact.

No restoration whatsoever - only crack filling performed.

Thescelosaur dinosaur fossils are highly sought after - usually only toe bones and claws are available to private collectors.
